01 · Construction & Formwork

Panels that strip clean and come back for the next pour.

Civil contractors and formwork suppliers don't buy a sheet — they buy a number of pours. We make film-faced shuttering plywood in the film weights and thicknesses quoted for repeat use and a fair concrete finish. Specify the form system, load and handling plan so the right panel is confirmed in writing.

02 · Marine & Boatbuilding

A marine specification matched to the intended service.

Boatbuilders and marine fit-out shops need the panel construction and documents stated in the vessel or joinery design. Enquire for IS 710 marine plywood or a BS 1088 requirement, and confirm the applicable evidence before ordering. Hull, deck and structural bulkhead thicknesses must follow the approved design; bond grade alone does not establish assembly suitability.

03 · Flooring & Transport

Floors matched to the load and working surface.

Container repairers, vehicle builders and industrial buyers need floors suited to the load, moisture and surface conditions. We quote container flooring plywood with or without groove and chequered anti-skid plywood with its glue choice stated. Send the floor design and intended use; final suitability is confirmed in the written specification.

04 · Joinery & Interiors

Flat, predictable panels that take a finish.

Joinery firms, furniture clusters and interior contractors need the right construction for each job — and the same board every order. Choose from semi-hardwood, alternate, full red core and premium hardwood plywood, including water-resistant versions, alongside boards and timber. Agree the face, finished tolerance, moisture condition and fixing requirements for the furniture or worktop.

05 · Doors & Shutters

Shutters that hang true and hold a hinge.

Developers and door dealers need a stated door construction, finished tolerance and fixing plan. Choose semi-hardwood or pinewood block-core flush doors and confirm size, lipping, hinge and lock positions, surface finish and inspection requirements on the quote.

06 · Export Packaging

Packaging that clears customs and protects the cargo.

Exporters, OEMs and 3PLs crating heavy or engineering goods need packaging built to the cargo, not to a catalogue. We build ISPM-15 pallets, plywood boxes and crates and cable drums to your bill of materials. For the panels, ask for commercial plywood (packing grade); an Okoume face can be specified when needed.

Our factories

The units behind the name.

We are the manufacturer, in timber since 1986. Plywood, sawn timber, packing cases and boards each run on a dedicated floor, all feeding one sales and export desk; sawn timber itself is supplied within India. Your order is made in our factories in Perumbavoor, Kerala; the factory is named on your quote, and you are welcome to visit.

Unit 02

Sawmill

Hardwood logs broken down into sawn timber, runners and battens — sized to the job and seasoned to load, for joinery floors and packing lines alike.

Unit 03

Packing case unit

Boxes, crates, pallets and cable drums built to your bill of materials — solid-wood parts treated and ISPM-15 marked by a DPPQS-registered treatment provider where the destination requires it, and ready to clear customs.

Why Cochin Wood

Built to your sector's spec — and your shipping schedule.

Six sectors, one discipline: the right grade, documented for export, shipped on time. Here's what that means in practice.

01

Spec-matched grades

IS 710 BWP for marine, 120 gsm film-faced for formwork, IS 303 BWR for joinery. We quote the grade the job needs — never the nearest substitute.

02

Export-ready as standard

ISPM-15 treatment and marking of solid-wood packing by a DPPQS-registered treatment provider where the destination requires it, a treatment certificate where the quotation states it, a phytosanitary certificate where the destination requires one, FOB / CIF / CFR from Cochin Port. Your container clears customs without surprises.
