What the timber is actually for
Most of what leaves our yard is not furniture stock — it is the structural half of a packing case, the part that carries the load while the plywood forms the skin.

Species, seasoning and tolerance
Three things decide whether sawn timber performs: what it is, how dry it is, and how honestly it is cut.

Do you supply timber cut to size, or in standard sections?
Both. Most packing-case makers take standard scantlings and cut their own runners; others take pre-cut sets to a drawing so their line only assembles. Tell us which suits your floor.
Is the timber seasoned?
Air-dried or kiln-dried to your specification. Seasoning matters more than most buyers expect — green timber moves after the crate is nailed, and that is how joints open on a long voyage.
What tolerance do you hold?
Quarter-inch-minus is the working convention on jackwood runners and is what most crate makers price against. If your assembly jig needs a tighter tolerance, say so at enquiry and we will quote to it.
Can you supply timber and plywood on the same truck?
Yes, and most packing-case buyers do exactly that — sheets plus runners on one vehicle. It consolidates freight and keeps the inward paperwork simple.
