Cable-drum enquiries need a drawing and the cable manufacturer's packing requirements. A flange diameter or plywood thickness alone does not establish how much cable a drum can carry or how it may be handled. Confirm whether you are ordering plywood blanks, finished flanges or a complete drum.
Use the specified standard and drawing
If the purchase specification calls for IS 10418, obtain the current edition and any amendments from the Bureau of Indian Standards. Use the designation and dimensions in that specification and the approved drawing. This guide does not supply a substitute drum-code, load-capacity or fastener table.

Choose the panel separately from the drum design
Ask for the full product standard and construction alongside MR, BWR or BWP bond terminology. A bond label concerns moisture performance; it does not establish drum capacity or authorise an assembly design. Use the bond-grade comparison when preparing that part of the brief.
The drum designer must determine the assembly, joints, fasteners and handling provisions for the intended cable and route. Required tests and supporting reports should be identified in the order; do not assume a general material sheet is a test certificate for a finished drum.
Export packaging questions
Separate processed plywood components from any solid-wood barrel, battens or other packaging members when confirming destination treatment requirements.
